Last Sunday, lowernine.org hosted the first shindig of a long series of shindigs at the Lamanche Urban Farm.

Please join us every last Sunday of the month at 6pm at our farm on Lamanche street, between Galvez and Miro.

Today is the sixth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. A ceremony was held in the Lower Ninth Ward to remember the disaster.  Pictured above is Councilman Jon Johnson at the ceremony, throwing a commemorative wreath into the Mississippi.

Six years later, lowernine.org is still rebuilding the Lower Ninth Ward.
