In 2024 lowernine.org volunteers repaired the roof on Ms. Payne’s shed, and while in the process, discovered that her home had extensive termite damage. Volunteers removed damaged walls and siding. We framed exterior walls, as well as interior walls, which led us to discover that Ms. Payne’s chimney shaft was not properly held together and supported. After repairing and building in supports, the siding on Ms. Payne’s house was repaired and painted, and rain gutters were installed.
