A failure to pass an amendment to abrogate the constitutional convention banning the government from donating or selling property below market value, is seen as yet another delay in rebuilding the lower ninth ward. In response to this news, Laura Paul says that Lowernine.org will continue their efforts in bringing people back home.

She came. She saw. She stayed. The name of this non-profit organization, lowernine.org, refers to the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans, a predominately black neighborhood that was devastated during Hurricane Katrina and the levee breaches of 2005. Yes, the work is STILL ongoing!
