In response to this news, Laura Paul says that Lowernine.org will continue their efforts in bringing people back home.

She came. She saw. She stayed. The name of this non-profit organization, lowernine.org, refers to the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans, a predominately black neighborhood that was devastated during Hurricane Katrina and the levee breaches of 2005. Yes, the work is STILL ongoing!
