This family home suffered significant damage from Hurricane Ida, necessitating a full roof replacement. Water damage caused black mold to develop throughout the interior of the home, and a full interior gut was required after mold remediation (funded by a neighbor and lowernine.org volunteer).

To date, lowernine.org has completed the interior gut, replaced termite-damaged piers, window frames, and beams, updated outlets and fixtures, hung sheetrock, mudded 3 of the 5 rooms, and primed and painted 1 room.

Dedicated neighbors, donors, and lowernine.org volunteers are completing this project under the direct supervision of star crew leader Darren McKinney and new team member Jacky Smale. We expect to complete this home by winter.
